One of the highlights of the St Michael’s calendar is back. Cracker Night 2026 is on Saturday 30 May at our Newstead campus, and we’d love to see you there.
It’s a genuine community evening, open to participants, families, friends, and anyone who wants to be part of it. Gates open from 6:30pm, with a fireworks display supported by Bright Star Fireworks Australia lighting up the Newstead sky from 7pm. Wrap up warm and come ready to enjoy the show.
Inside the Merrington Centre, hotdogs and burgers will be available for $5 each – perfect winter evening fare.
Entry is by gold coin donation, with all proceeds going back into the St Michael’s community.
Parking is available on Hoblers Bridge Road. We ask everyone to drive slowly and carefully on site and remain alert to pedestrians throughout the evening.
St Michael’s has been part of this community for nearly 60 years, and Cracker Night is one of those evenings that captures exactly what that means – good company, a warm atmosphere, and something memorable to share.
